Bright, adjustable, and easy to install—this lighting kit adds real function and flair to the Disney Pixar Luxo Jr. SetThis light kit was a great upgrade to the Lego Pixar Luxo Jr. lamp. It followed the typical style of other Lego-compatible light kits, so if you’ve installed one before, the setup feels familiar. Even for first-timers, the installation is straightforward thanks to clear online instructions available as PDFs and videos in multiple languages.The LED is impressively bright and shines nicely through the existing Lego bulb cover. The touch dimmer switch is responsive and allows for full-range adjustment from low to bright and back again, which is a thoughtful feature for those using this as a display or nightstand lamp. Being powered via USB makes it flexible for use with different outlets or USB-equipped power strips.If you want to get more out of your Pixar Lamp build and actually use it as a functional light, this kit is a great choice.
I got the standard version and am happy with it. I saw mixed reviews over a touch version and how it was not very responsive to touch, so I figured it would be best to stick to a traditional one that operates by a button. A light set for the Pixar lamp makes so much sense that it’s almost impossible to believe that the concept was pitched without a light. But where Lego left off, aftermarket companies like this one are right there to swoop in and give us the missing piece we need to do the set justice. When you look at the small details of the light kit you can really see how elaborate it is. It is amazing to see how small they can make this in order to fit seamlessly into the original build set.
This light kit gives you options depending on your setup. You can use the battery box with a simple on/off switch, or plug it into a usb power bank and use the touch switch, which feels kind of fancy!Our lego lamp set hasn't arrived yet, but kid couldn't wait. They went ahead and added the lights to other lego builds and had a blast with it.One thing to keep in mind, the touch switch is very sensitive. It works great, but if you want to dim the lights, you need to gently hold your finger on the switch and it'll slowly fade down. Took us a minute to figure that out, but now it feels like part of the fun.So far it has been great experience.

This is a great lighting kit that is very easy to install. It consists of six leds that provide a soft, even glow to the simulated Lego light bulb. You can power the unit in two ways: using the battery box or the provided USB connector.
