I got the standard version and am happy with it. I saw mixed reviews over a touch version and how it was not very responsive to touch, so I figured it would be best to stick to a traditional one that operates by a button. A light set for the Pixar lamp makes so much sense that it’s almost impossible to believe that the concept was pitched without a light. But where Lego left off, aftermarket companies like this one are right there to swoop in and give us the missing piece we need to do the set justice. When you look at the small details of the light kit you can really see how elaborate it is. It is amazing to see how small they can make this in order to fit seamlessly into the original build set.

This light kit gives you options depending on your setup. You can use the battery box with a simple on/off switch, or plug it into a usb power bank and use the touch switch, which feels kind of fancy!Our lego lamp set hasn't arrived yet, but kid couldn't wait. They went ahead and added the lights to other lego builds and had a blast with it.One thing to keep in mind, the touch switch is very sensitive. It works great, but if you want to dim the lights, you need to gently hold your finger on the switch and it'll slowly fade down. Took us a minute to figure that out, but now it feels like part of the fun.So far it has been great experience.

This is a great lighting kit that is very easy to install. It consists of six leds that provide a soft, even glow to the simulated Lego light bulb. You can power the unit in two ways: using the battery box or the provided USB connector.
